Not on every tide

Well that was a really tough one. A good tide and conditions meant the bass should have been there, but for over four hours of cast, wait 10 minutes, clear the weed, bait up and repeat was enough for me. Not a touch as I held the rod with the butt resting on my hip, and my back turned against the strengthening wind.

Eventually at 2am, I decided enough was enough and shouted to the fishing gods, 'you are all a bunch of basstards', and hiked off back to the car in a huff.
